John Fedor

John has been a member of the University of Alberta Symphony Orchestra and Academy Strings Ensembles from 2005 to 2010.  He also joined the Canadian  University College Chamber Orchestra, in 2009, on their cross Canada tour. Johns most recent orchestral experience includes performances  with the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific from 2009-2010.
 John worked for the Edmonton Public's Music Enrichment Program from 2008-2012.  He has also been the cello instructor for the St. Martin Children's String Society from 2008-2016.  John is currently employed by Edmonton Public schools as an Elementary Music Specialist.


John currently performs regularly throughout Edmonton., doing solo and chamber performances.  John is also a member of the Wild Rose String Quartet, which has been performing together since 2008. John has been the conductor for the St. Martin Children's String Society Orchestra for 9 years.  Working with the Music Enrichment Program, John spent 4 years as conductor and artistic director for the Senior Orchestra.
In addition to teaching with the Public and Catholic school boards in Edmonton, John continues to offer private lessons to students interested in more one-on-one and personalized instruction.  He currently has a cello studio consisting of students who vary in age and playing abilities.
